Owners Rigoberto and Betty Calderon-Villasenor moved to Winnipeg from Morelia, Mexico, and since 2011 they have transitioned their little Latin market into a full on taqueria, serving authentic tacos (Betty forms the tortillas by hand), like Betty's family used to make in Michoacán. At three tacos for $6-8, this place (which since 2017 has a second location at 1113 Henderson Hwy - 204.415.1113) is one of Winnipeg's best bang-for-your-buck establishments.
