The Phil and musicians of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra celebrate the work of Sir Paul McCartney with his beautiful oratorio, Ecce Cor Meum. Premiered in 2001, it contains a moving elegy to his wife, Linda, who died of cancer as he was writing it. The Phil is proud to present the first Winnipeg performance, with guest artists Andrea Lett (soprano) and Pembina Trails Voices’ Cantemus, conducted by Valdine Anderson. (And, we will probably not be able to resist including a few Beatles numbers!)
