The return of the Winnipeg Goldeyes means exciting baseball games to watch and a variety of food and beverage vendors to savour.
Shaw Park has always been one of the best little stadiums in all of baseball.
All the seats are great, the multiple American Association-champion Goldeyes always put on a show (as do their mascots, Goldie and Goldette), while the fabulous local food and drink options continue to knock it out of the park. With multiple vendors and dietary-friendly options, the concessions cater to anyone planning to have a meal, treat or drink at the ballpark.
Eat, drink and enjoy
Shaw Park boasts plenty of meal options for attendees. How does a cheesy piece of pizza from A Little Pizza Heaven sound, or maybe a hot and saucy stir fry from Bodegoes? With an all-star roster of choices, you’ll find vendors like Goldie Dogs serving hotdogs in a toasted bun with toppings like grilled onions and bacon, Clay Oven dishing out butter chicken and samosas, and handmade perogies from Mr. Perogie.
Many of the vendors offer dairy friendly, egg friendly, gluten-free and peanut friendly choices too.
It’s not a complete baseball game experience without some snacks. So, for all the sweet tooths out there, you can enjoy a fresh pretzel coated in sugar from The Pretzel Place, ice cream treats from Goldie’s Grill, or a bag or bucket full of mini donuts from Lil’Orbits Mini Donuts, yum! Shaw Park concessions deliver the goods figuratively and legitimately. No, seriously, Corby’s Popcorn & Candy walk the sections with popcorn boxes, Twizzlers and candy floss.
Head over to the Craft Beer Corner and enjoy beers from popular local breweries like Torque Brewing, Barn Hammer Brewing Company, Fort Garry Brewing and more. In addition, there are two convenient bars, one in section G and one in section P serving beer, craft beer, spirits, coolers and even wine. Occasionally, you'll hear “cold beer here!” and you’re in luck because you don’t have to leave your seat.
If you’re looking to plan your meal ahead of game time or want to check out the open vendors and the menus, check out this list of concessions.
This month through September, there are 13 home games left to take in, so you can taste it all. For more information on tickets, games, COVID-19 protocols and more, visit the Winnipeg Goldeyes website.
