The historically designated two-storey Red River Frame Brown House built in 1856, is furnished with period pieces from 1860 - 1890. HBC employee William Brown and his metis wife, Charlotte Oman, raised six children in the house with details of their life accounted in the museum's historiography.

The historic 1911 Municipal Hall Building features facinating vignettes and displays from early trade to the development of Unicity in the St. James-Assiniboia area. The 1890's Intrpretive Centre is the third building within the complex, where visitors learn about butter making, blacksmithing, farming, and early modes of pioneer transportation.

The Museum holds specialty historical theatre throughout summer for groups by appointment. A free Pioneer Heritage day is held in August.

Open Tuesday to Friday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
